Submit your Resume’ to the Resume’ Book

  • Occasionally, recruiters and hiring managers request student resume’s for review and selection for professional opportunities. The Resume’ Book is a database of student resume’s for distribution to recruiters and hiring managers.
  • Interested students must sign the Resume’ Book Contract that allows Career & Professional Development to distribute their resume’ to recruiters and/or hiring managers. 
  • Students must also e-mail their resume’ to for placement into the Book. NOTE: All resume’s will be reviewed for professional content and formatting prior to being approved into the Resume’ Book.

Begin your Job Search Plan

  • Create a list of Target Companies-Your “Bucket List”
  • Follow and Connect with these companies on Social Media
  • Identify the thought leaders in your industry
  • Follow and Connect with these thought leaders on Social Media
  • Connect with the thought leaders in the companies on your bucket list
  • Build strong professional relationships with these thought leaders and express your interest in working for their company.

Continue to Build Professional Relationships with Industry Professionals

  • Share your ideas and opinions and let them know you are interested in working in their industry
  • Connect with prospective employers through LinkedIn, Twitter and blogs

Establish your Professional Brand

  • Write your Unique Value Proposition (UVP)
  • Stay active with your LinkedIn profile, Twitter profile, Portfolio and Blog
  • Join and participate in groups related to your industry. Make comments on group topics, ask and answer questions
  • Keep your professional portfolio updated
  • Establish yourself as a thought leader with your blog posts

Complete a Higher Level Internship

Learn as much about your industry as you can

  • Attend professional conferences related to your discipline and/or area of interest.
