Thank you for your interest in Session II of CMLI. Spring Hill College is excited to welcome you to Mobile and the Gulf Coast.

Getting to Spring Hill College

Spring Hill College is located “On the Hill” in Mobile, Alabama.

Airports to consider for travel include:

  • Mobile Regional Airport (MOB) 7 miles with complimentary CMLI shuttle
  • Pensacola International Airport (PNS)  55 miles east of Mobile
  • Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport (GPT)  55 miles west of Mobile

Shuttle information for both airports, contact Mobile Bay Transportation: http://www.mobilebaytransportation.com

Arriving/Departing

We have designed the CMLI schedule to allow participants to arrive on Tuesday, June 25, and depart on Sunday, June 30, avoiding the need to book additional nights to accommodate travel. On Tuesday, registration will take place between the hours of 3:00 p.m.  and 6:00 p.m. and is followed by dinner at 6:15, Opening Prayer at 7:15, and our formal Welcome at 7:45. On Sunday, participants may depart at any time; the CMLI program concludes with our banquet and dance on Saturday evening.

Extra Nights

For some teams, CMLI may be a rare opportunity to visit the beautiful beaches on the Gulf Coast. There will be a free afternoon with options to play at the beach, golf, visit the Carnival Museum or Battleship Park, or sightsee in downtown Mobile. However, this time is limited. If you wish to arrive a day early or stay a day late, you can make arrangements on your registration form for $35.00 per participant per night. Please know that the host team will have limited availability to assist you before or after the Institute, especially with respect to food and transportation.

Free Time—Enjoy Mobile & the Gulf Coast!

Are you looking for some ideas for your free afternoon or pre/post-Institute stay?

Dauphin Island

CMLI will offer an optional trip to the beach during the free afternoon. A charter bus will take participants to Dauphin Island beach on the Gulf of Mexico for the afternoon. This is an optional trip but we will need guaranteed numbers to book the buses. Visit the Dauphin Island webpage at http://dauphinisland.org/. Participants who choose this option must rsvp by June 1.

On Campus

Fr. Richard Salmi S.J., president of Spring Hill, invites you to bring your golf clubs to play a round of golf at Spring Hill’s golf course! Visit our website http://www.springhillgolfcourse.com/

We will offer a special CMLI participant rate before, during and after the conference.
